Urban Sketching: Park Podviní

This is a good place to chill out and sketch on a long June evening. There are 3 playgrounds, including the "celtic castle" — a unique structure with an upside-down tree. The area has nice green spaces, a dog park, a rope park, many sporting fields, a great restaurant, and the lovely Rokytka river peacefully flowing through it. Come discover this pleasant quarter of Prague on the edge of Libeň and Vysočany. I'll even introduce you to my friends, the ducks. 😉

Schedule

6 pm: Meeting on the sidewalk/grass between the Poliklinika Vysočany tram stop and the playground.

8 pm: Meeting at the same place to show our sketches

8:15 pm: Those of us who wish to have some food or drinks can go to the restaurant in the park. They have excellent grilled meats and salads, and fresh beer from tanks.

For New Members

Our events are open to everyone who enjoys drawing and urban sketching. There are no fees, just bring your own sketchbook and media you like. There is no formal tuition given but you can certainly get inspired by others. All levels are welcome!

If you have urban sketching questions or suggestions, please bring them up with the group admins.
